I've just read The House at Sugar Beach and my book club is reading it. I am not able to locate Sugar Beach on the Liberian may. It may be that it no longer exists with that name. I'm facinated with Liberian history and the celebrations here in the USA for president elect Obama is reinforcing my deep interest. Thank you. My email is colleentuck@gmail.com

Yes I am also excited and really love Liberia history.This forgotten part of African American history is now being brought to life.I hope a movie about Liberian history will be made soon.I loved The House on Sugar Beach
